Our School

Opened in 1998, McMath Middle School is named for Carroll McMath, a former band director at Denton High School who promoted music education throughout the state. Mr. McMath was also active in the community and was inducted into the Texas Band Directors Hall of Fame in 1992.

McMath was the third middle school built in Denton ISD and is centrally located in Denton, serving students in the Denton High School attendance zone. The school received its most recent renovation in 2020.
